How to play
- Deal 6 cards each with 2 players, 5 each with 3, and 4 each with 4 or more. In Fresh Draw, leftover cards stay undealt. In Schneider, leftover cards become a face-up draw pile.
- Follow the lead suit if you have it. Otherwise sluff any card. Jokers count as the lowest hearts.
- Ace of Spades wins the trick. Otherwise the highest heart wins. Otherwise the highest card of the lead suit wins.
- If Ace of Spades anytime is off, you can still play it whenever hearts or spades are led.
- With two decks, the first of equal high cards wins.
- Trick winner takes the points in the trick and leads next. In Schneider, after each trick the winner draws the face-up card, then everyone else draws clockwise, until the pile is gone; then play out remaining cards. The pile is not shuffled between tricks. Low diamonds and clubs are pulled so the pile divides evenly.
- Dealer and lead move one seat clockwise each round. Play until someone reaches 100.
- Jokers +5. A/J/Q/K of clubs or diamonds +1. A/K/Q of hearts +5, of spades −5. J/10/2 of hearts +10, of spades −10.
- Each table has a turn timeout. If a human doesn’t play in time — including after a disconnect, or after leaving while others still play — the table autoplays their lowest legal card (follow suit if they can). If a player has only one card left, it is played immediately. Rejoin from the same browser with the same name.
- A finished game stays in Open Tables for 3 minutes so people can rejoin and see the scores, then it closes. Play again starts another game with the same rules and computers. Everyone still seated can join it.
